Former National Coordinator of the Defeat Autism Now! Conferences

Maureen McDonnell has been a registered nurse for 33 years (in the fields of: childbirth education, labor and delivery, clinical nutrition, and pediatrics.)  She is the former national coordinator of the Defeat Autism Now! Conferences and is the co-founder of the Saving Our Kids, Healing Our Planet conferences.  Since the late 1970’s, Maureen has been writing and lecturing on the value of whole foods and natural lifestyles as the most logical and cost effective methods for minimizing complications associated with pregnancy and birth, and reducing chronic illnesses in women and children.  Her published articles including What Can Be Done to Prevent Autism Now!, and Safer Ways to Vaccinate can be found at  www.SOKHOP.com.  Maureen is the health editor for WNC Woman Magazine and is the owner of  Nutritionists Choice multi vitamin.  She is the parent and step-parent of six grown children and has four granddaughters.  She lives with her husband H Hanson near Asheville in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
