Module VI

Module VI:  Webternship:  Biomedical Case Management in Children

This course is an eight month distance “mentorship”.  It provides a unique opportunity for continued learning and mentoring via a teleseminar based interactive format with a pediatrician specializing in Biomedical treatment options for children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.  Lab recommendations and interpretation of results along with clinical case management of biomedical and nutritional considerations in children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders will be the focus of this module.  Doctors will be placed into small groups that meet one time per month for 1.5 hours each meeting.  Each doctor will be required to present at least two cases that will be discussed and managed throughout the eight month webternship.  This unique program is a once in a lifetime opportunity for doctors to enhance their biomedical management skills and knowledge with the former Medical Director of the Autism Research Institute without having to leave their offices or endure travel expenses.  The variety of cases that will be presented from a group environment will be a tremendous learning experience for all doctors.
